Problem

Communities often face hard decisions, and disagreements can seem impossible to resolve. In most discussions, people share reasons but do not show how strongly each one is supported compared with others, so hidden assumptions lead to disagreement. In complex debates, people cannot hold every reason in mind at once, so attention shifts and conclusions drift apart.

Target Outcome

Each decision should become easier to understand through a series of videos that clearly show reasons, relative support, and confidence. The audience should be able to see what is well-supported, what is uncertain, and where disagreement comes from. The series should start with an initial analysis, then keep evolving as useful audience observations and new evidence are added, with score changes shown over time rather than treated as final.

Scope

In the current phase, Reason Tracker will:

• Focus on controversial, high-impact decisions explored across multiple videos.
• Present reasons in a structured comparison, including relative support and confidence.
• Keep the analysis process explicit and repeatable across episodes.
• Start with initial research and an intro video for each decision.
• Use audience feedback and new evidence to add or adjust claims in later episodes.
• Show how scores change over time, without implying any score is final.
• Prioritize clarity and explainability over advanced automation.
